We have been reviewing many of the activities that have been running at The Bus Stop Club over recent years and we would like to place on record our grateful thanks to the many donors, both individual and corporate, and the many charitable trusts, which have provided grant funding to support our activities. Only with this continued level of support can we continue to support the most needy families in East Dorset.
We would like to acknowledge the following organisations and individuals.
East Dorset District Council, East Dorset Housing Association, Turbary Church, South West Foundation, St Mark’s Church West Parley, The Souter Christian Trust, East Dorset Health Authority, Ferndown town Council, Alice Ellen Cooper-Dean Charitable Foundation, Talbot Village Trust, Wimborne and Ferndown Lions Club, Synergy Housing, West Parley Rotary Club, BBC Radio Solent Community Chest, Hall & Woodhouse Community Fund, Seedbed Charitable Trust, Dorset Community Foundation, The Monica Rabagliati Trust, The Pitt-Rivers Trust, Tear Fund Micro-grant, Lloyds TSB, St Mary’s Church Ferndown, Hope Church Ferndown, Money Saving Expert (MSE) Charity, JP Morgan, Wessex Water.
We can say with great conviction that many many families and individuals from the East Dorset area have benefited in so many ways from the events organised at The Bus Stop Club and continue to do so.

This year at the Turbary Resource Centre…
The centre operates an Open Door policy to the wider community, offering befriending and support as required and as resources allow. Our aim is to build bridges in the local community, and we continue to look for and apply for funding to cover our budget for this year.
Some of the activities planned so far:
Budgeting sessions through FREE CAP Money courses.
Supporting The CAP Debt Centre who help people deal with debt issues.
Befriending and listening sessions – wondering what this involves – call Susan to find out.
After school family activities, weekly Friday café.
Make Lunch through the holiday breaks with family activities during the day.
AND lots more…..
Call Susan on 07866 692528 to find out more
This is a course which runs over 6 months. It is a weekly educational support group for adults who have experienced abuse in their childhood and now want to deal with the past, live in the present and look to the future.
June 2015 – Thanks to the Lions, we went shopping at Macro’s for kitchen supplies – much appreciated!
Shopping done, thanks to the Lions!
We are having a day visit to Longmead Farm on Friday August 28th. This day trip is being sponsored by JPMorgan based in Bournemouth. Families have been down to the farm before and have always had great fun taking part in the various activities – both outdoors with the animals and indoors doing crafty things.
To find out more about this day event for families please contact Susan Sutherland on 07866 692528.
