See what our After School club families received for Easter… complete with yummy Easter Choc treats! These weekly deliveries to the doors of around 20 families include a practical sheet with parenting tips for the mums and dads. A helpful support while we can’t meet.
We are thankful for Sainsburys giving us their surplus Comic Relief stock. This enabled us to add to the bumper Easter craft bags which were delivered in the week running up to Easter!
Some of the cheery Christmas hampers and smiling CAP team
Pam, our CAP Debt Coach, was thankful for the fabulous response at Christmas from local churches, supermarkets and the volunteers who helped pack, buy, donate money, food, gifts and deliver hampers to 15 families and single people who are on their journey out of debt and others who have recently become debt free!
So far 26 families and individuals have worked their way out of debt with our free service and support throughout their journey! Our local East Dorset CAP Centre works in partnership with the Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Head Office in Bradford who negotiate with creditors and compile a budget for a repayment plan or other routes out of debt, in line with government guidelines. CAP have received many awards in the finance industry over the 25 years that they have been offering this free support service to help people work their way out of crushing financial debt.
Smiling volunteers with beautifully wrapped hampers full of goodies!
What some of our CAP clients said about their hampers:
It’s gorgeous what a big help bless you xx
I was really blown away by the hamper!
Speechless, then over the moon, very thankful…
Was so pleased to receive the hamper – a big thank you.
Our Wednesday After School Club enjoyed Crafty Christmas bags delivered to their doors! We are so thankful for all the generous donations of food and goodies to be able to treat our local families at this special time. Although we have not been able to meet each week to enjoy our craft times, this was a great way to stay creative, connected and celebrate Christmas despite Lockdown!

You can have a thrilling experience and benefit local charities at the same time.
We are raising money to help run activities at the Bus Stop Club and we can say with great conviction that many many families and individuals from the East Dorset area are benefiting in so many ways from the events that we already organise.
If you would like to help raise money and have a head for heights and would love to step over the edge, then use the DONATE button on our website to sign up.
Participants are required to pay a registration fee of £25 to cover costs and should aim to raise at least £100 in sponsorship for either the Beacon Centre at St Mary’s or The Bus Stop Club or to benefit both charities.
The event will be managed by fully qualified and insured instructors from Dave Talbot (Adventure Events). Please see attached information regarding their setup Participant Abseil Information 2016.
